Hello and welcome to A Question of Life Counselling, my name is Amanda Gordon, and I'm passionate about supporting clients navigating the challenges of grief and loss.

Whether it's the passing of a loved one, the end of a relationship, or a significant life change, grief can leave us feeling lost and overwhelmed. It's important to remember that grief isn't limited to death; it encompasses a wide range of experiences, including the loss of trust, a dream for the future, health, purpose, or even a sense of safety.
I can offer a counselling service that offers a compassionate space to navigate these challenging emotions. It's not about rushing through the grieving process, but rather about finding your own path through the storm at your own pace. Think of it as having a supportive guide to help you navigate the waves of grief and find your way back to calmer waters.

I also incorporate Solution Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT), a goal-oriented approach that helps create meaningful change and guides you toward a brighter, more hopeful future. Unlike traditional therapy, SFBT emphasizes the future rather than dwelling on the past. By asking specific, solution-oriented questions, therapists help clients uncover their own abilities and create a roadmap to positive change. This approach is particularly effective for individuals seeking rapid, goal-directed therapy sessions.
